With the evolving status of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak we want to keep you abreast of the measures being taken at the Robert Cizik Eye Clinic to minimize the spread of the virus.

At this time we are postponing and rescheduling all routine and non-urgent follow up visits. All elective surgeries are also being rescheduled.

For those that need to come in for an urgent visit, a screening protocol has been put in place for all patients and visitors to the clinic effective 3/23/2020.

Fellowship Program

The Department of Ophthalmology offers a one-year clinical fellowship in Glaucoma. This program provides comprehensive training in both the medical and surgical management of glaucoma, providing a diverse and thorough exposure to all aspects of glaucoma management in adults and children. Fellows work closely with both attending physicians and residents and are actively involved in the residency training program. Clinical research is required with ample opportunity depending on the fellow’s interest. Clinical and surgical experiences are gained at the Robert Cizik Eye Clinic and the Memorial Hermann outpatient surgery plaza both located in the Memorial Hermann Medical Center at the Texas Medical Center. The program is intended to prepare the candidate for a career in academic or non-academic practice. The fellowship is administered through the San Francisco Matching Program.
