Nan Wang, MD, PhD, specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of corneal and anterior segment eye diseases. Her expertise includes all types of corneal transplantation, cataract surgery and vision correction surgery. Dr. Wang also provides general ophthalmologic care to patients at the Cizik Eye Clinic. She performs routine eye exams, prescribes glasses, fits contact lenses, and treats various ocular pathologies. She performs
LASIK,
LASEK, and
PRK surgery to treat myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism.
Dr. Wang has had extensive research experience and has a strong research interest in biochemical and biophysical properties of the eye. She is currently studying the outcomes of refractive surgery.
Dr. Wang was born in China and is fluent in Mandarin. She is active in Houston's Chinese community where she participates in public education activities about eye disease and the need for proper eye care.
