A Patient Undergoes A Non-Invasive Examination of the Eye Using Sound Waves. The Image Depicted on the Computer Monitor at Right Shows a One-Millimeter Cyst in the Front of the Eye, Behind the Clear Cornea. The Screen on the Left Reveals a Collection of Blood Vessels Found Under the Retina in the Back of the Eye.
The Ultrasonography unit at the Cizik Eye Clinic provides noninvasive diagnostic testing and evaluations of adults and children.

The Ultrasonography unit has some of the world's most modern equipment, including a new high frequency ultrasound machine for precise visualization of structures in the front of the eye. With the latest sophisticated equipment the eye can be evaluated for tiny lesions that can be identified as benign or cancerous.

Ultrasonography permits identification of ocular and orbital lesions such as tumors, retinal detachments, hemorrhages, or foreign bodies within the eye that cannot be detected by conventional examination procedures.
