Robert M. Feldman, MD, specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma. He has extensive experience in glaucoma implant surgery as well as trabeculectomy and laser trabeculoplasty and is involved in the development of canaloplasty, a new surgical procedure for glaucoma. He is one of a few ophthalmologists whose expertise includes the medical and surgical treatment of congenital and pediatric glaucoma.

Dr. Feldman is the newly appointed Chairman of the Ruiz Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science and Director of Glaucoma Services at the Cizik Eye Clinic. He was honored as Outstanding Teacher in Ophthalmology by The University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 1996, and also has been awarded the Deans Excellence Award multiple times.

In addition to his duties as a reviewer for the several journals, Dr. Feldman has authored or co-authored over 250 journal articles, abstracts, and book chapters related to glaucoma research. He has given numerous presentations worldwide on many topics in ophthalmology.
