R. Larry Brenner, MD, specializes in neuro-ophthalmology. He evaluates and treats complex visual complaints which can be due to optic nerve or brain disease. His interests include pseudotumor cerebri, ischemic optic neuropathy, temporal arteritis, papilledema, episodic vision loss, headaches with eye pain, diplopiaand Graves' disease.
Dr. Larry Brenner is a respected name in Houston's eye care community and joined the Department after retiring from a 30-year-old private practice in Pasadena, Texas.
Dr. Brenner has served as President of the Texas Ophthalmologic Association, as well as President of the Houston Ophthalmological Society; he also was a member of the Medical Executive Board of the Texas State Commission for the Blind. He is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, served as Vice-Speaker of its House of Delegates, and was a member of its Board of Councilors.
